We offer these Privacy Policies because our users have the right to know what information we store, how we protect and use it, and the circumstances under which it may be disclosed.

WHAT DO OUR POLICIES INCLUDE?

Our policies cover how Tiptap treats the personal information  we collect when our users visit our website  www.paytiptap.com or use our mobile app. We consider personal information that which can be used by some one to identify or contact a user in person, such as: names, telephone numbers, date of birth, email, physical address.

What our policies do not include. Our policies do not cover the privacy policies of third parties that Tiptap does not own  or control, such as participating schools. Additionally, we reserve the right to offer our users links to other web pages that we consider may be of interest. All of these third-party  websites, including participating school websites, operate independently of Tiptap and have their own Privacy Policies. To improve the online experience, we recommend that the
user reviews third party policies before sending them any type of information.

HOW AND WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

1. How we collect information provided by participating users.

Participants (guardians and students) will provide Tiptap with the personal information required to have and use the accounts. Said information refers to: names, last names,  school name, date of birth, photo, document number, emails,  among others. Any user can visit and navigate our page www.paytiptap.com without having to provide information or identification. If the student is a student of a participating school and would like to have an account, the guardian must  first create an account so that they can be added. When you create an account, you will need to create a unique username  and password in order to login to our system. In order to add funds, your credit card information will be requested, as well as the address registered. For student accounts, the fingerprint is required, which is used to process TipTap payments, the  payment method used by Tiptap to guarantee speed, security  and trust. This fingerprint is registered in the student’s school  cafeteria and once registered, it cannot be modified.

2. Information we do not request.

For students under the age of 18, TipTap only accepts accounts created and monitored by a parent or guardian. TipTap requires the identification number, passport or any number that serves to correctly identify the person at the time of fingerprint registration. When the student is registered, their fingerprint becomes their form of payment. TipTap does not use cookies, logfiles, web beacons or any other analytical tool to acquire information related to users who visit our website.

3. Fingerprint information.

Fingerprints will never be transferred under any circumstances. Fingerprint data is stored as a mathematical logarithm and neither TipTap nor schools have a way to access these fingerprints for use. The only use it is given is as  an identification method when making a purchase. The mathematical logarithm of the fingerprint is stored  on Amazon’s servers. When deleting a student’s account, the mathematical logarithm of the fingerprint is immediately deleted. The captured fingerprints cannot be modified or deleted under any circumstances. The only way to proceed in case of an error when registering is to delete the user and create it again.

HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMAMTION?

1. Communications. We use emails and push notifications from our mobile app and on our website as our main tool to inform our users of important announcements. 

2. Consumption in cafeterias or at school. . The school cafeterias where the student consumes will have access to the  student’s information and all consumption controls imposed  by the guardian. This information is also left for later use by the school cafeteria in order to have access to reports, cash closings and consumption trends. This information cannot be  used outside the system. 

HOW DO WE SHARE INFORMATION?

1. With Third Parties. TipTap does not share, sell or rent our  users’ personal information. We reserve the right to share anonymous, non-personal, general information about our database for the purpose of promoting our service to others. We do not associate this shared information with personal information of our users. All recharges made by the mobile  app will be through Visa or MasterCard and processed by a local bank in Panama.

2. . For Legal Reasons. TipTap reserves the right to share our users personal information when required by law and when  we believe it is necessary to protect our rights, comply with a  judicial order, by order of a court or competent authority, or  as part of legal processes of Tiptap. Acquisition or any transfer. If TipTap were to be acquired by a third party, all of its assets, including our database, may be transferred to the third party. At that time, each user’s personal information will  be subject to the third party’s Privacy Policies. Additionally, in the event that we have to liquidate our assets due to bankruptcy or any other event, we will consider our database as part of the assets that may be subject to a transfer or sale.  Before carrying out any of these events, if necessary, we will  not if your users by email or by announcing it on our website with a minimum of 15 days before the changes happen.

HOW DO WE KEEP THE INFORMATION SAFE?

All our user information is password protected. TipTap will  never share a user’s password with anyone. We ask our users to never share their passwords and to change them from time  to time, in order to keep the information secure.

TipTap information is hosted on Amazon servers. No information is stored on the physical equipment used for sale.

SYSTEM SECURITY

TipTap’s servers are located at Amazon Web Services. AWS complies with world-class security standards ISO 27001:  AWS continually identifies and assesses new risks in the cloud; Accordingly, AWS applies security controls to its systems and aligns these controls with our user protection needs. Security is a fundamental element to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of users.

We remind you that no method of data transmission over the internet is 100% secure, which is why we strive to use the  best methods described above to protect personal information, however, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES

TipTap maintains physical and electronic procedures that limit our staff and schools’ access to our users’ personal information.

ACCOUNT CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS

When a guardian wishes to cancel his digital wallet, the entire  balance in their account and the student accounts registered under it will be returned.

The closure of the account generates a surcharge of FIVE  PERCENT (5%) on the remaining balance in the digital wallet for the administrative charges generated by the closure.  Said charge will be deducted from the remaining balance when the refund is made.

A guardian can close one or more of the student accounts  under his digital wallet, at no cost, and the balance that exists  in that student account will be transferred to the digital wallet automatically. Premium annuity payments made to any account are non-refundable.

UPDATE TO OUR PRIVACY POLICIES

TipTap services are constantly changing. From time to time  TipTap reviews and reserves the right to make changes to our  Privacy Policy. When this happens, all of our users will be  notified by email or by placing a notice on our website. The  most recent version of our Privacy Policies will always be available on our website www.paytiptap.com. We invite you to visit this page frequently to be up to date with our Privacy  Policies.

DATABASES

Tiptap takes the security of your database very seriously. It is  for this reason that we use high security and confidentiality  parameters protected by Executive Decree 285 of May 28, 2021, in which Law 81 on the Protection of Personal Data was regulated, which establishes principles, rights, obligations and procedures to regulate the protection of personal data in Panama and to guarantee the protection of the data and/or information provided by the users (guardians  and students) of the mobile app.

TipTap is committed and guarantees its users that their personal data will not be published or used without prior consent for any purpose, except for the use of the mobile app, by the company or third parties. Likewise, TipTap will not  share the information with any third party or affiliate, without the prior consent of the user.

When a user sends questions to our customer service department or sends us  messages using other channels, TipTap reserves the right to use and publish them.

TIPTAP RESPONSIBILITIES

TipTap cannot promise access to its website or that its content will be delivered  without interruptions or errors, or that the website will be free of viruses or other harmful apps. It is the responsibility of the user to use all prevention methods to ensure that all information on our servers is free from  contamination.

We have taken all possible measures to prevent fraud and ensure that all data  collected from users is safe and secure. However, in the event of a failure of  our highly secure servers, we cannot be held responsible for such failure.

Under no circumstances can we be liable for any direct, indirect or incidental loss resulting from the use or downloading of any content from our website.

CANCELLATIONS

TipTap reserves the right to terminate any account that it determines does not  meet the purpose of the software such as:

  1. Violation of the terms and conditions.
  2. The information provided is not true.
  3. We suspect fraudulent use of our software, in which case you will be responsible for all costs incurred.
  4. If the account were to be closed due to causes 1 to 3, the funds will be returned to the guardian. Point 3, it would be necessary to see the  damage that was caused and if the person generated costs.
